Raymond Payne, the principal of Highland Financial Advisory Services, is a CPA and Registered Investment Advisor with 14 years of experience in tax planning, financial planning and investment management.
Ray worked for a Big Five accounting firm as a tax advisor specializing in individual tax issues for corporate executives. He also provided tax planning and auditing for closely held small businesses and partnerships. This experience prepared him to assess the financial position of businesses and identify ways for companies to make tax-efficient moves.
Following his Big Five experience, Ray went on to work for a Fortune 100 company for nine years, managing the finances and operations of various divisions.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He is also a member of the Personal Financial Planning section of the AICPA.
Ray lives in Stone Mountain, Ga. with his wife, Toni, and children, Harrison and Olivia. The family attends Atlanta Church of God by Faith, where Ray has served as finance director since 1998 and as a member of the board of directors since 2000.
